I almost feel like the Steelers should lose this game on purpose since the Bills assisted Pittsburgh so mightily in getting to the 2015 postseason. Olivier Vernon and Janoris Jenkins won’t change everything, even if the Giants are paying them like they will. The Giants in 2015: dead last in pass defense, dead last in total defense, third-worst in sacks. If Beckham has a great game, like I predict he will, the final score might end up being like 45-35 in favor of the Steelers instead of 45-20. is going to do some damage against Pittsburgh’s secondary. I think this game ends up being one of the most thrilling contests of the season. Now with the pesky trap game out of the way, the Steelers can refocus on defeating one of their de facto rivals. With a home showdown against the Patriots looming in Week 7, I think the Steelers take a somewhat characteristic stumble and lose to an inferior foe on the road. Either way, I don’t see the Steelers losing two games in a row at home.

The Jets should make a run at the playoffs again this season, particularly since they’ve added former Bears Pro Bowler Matt Forte to the backfield. This one is an extremely tough call since the Jets, as of writing, have not re-signed Ryan Fitzpatrick. You have to imagine the Jets are pretty furious about the Steelers managing to sneak by them last season and secure the final spot in the AFC Playoffs. Travis Kelce and an impressive Chiefs secondary are going to give the Steelers some issues. It’s also prudent to point out the Philadephia fielded the NFL’s fifth-worst secondary last season. However, I think Philadephia’s strengths (namely, their rushing attack) plays into Pittsburgh’s strengths (namely, stopping the run). The Steelers tend to play down to competition whereas the Eagles have a nasty habit of turning on the jets against talented opponents. The Steelers should have beaten Cincinnati at home last season they will get the job done this year.
